College Is A Transition For Parents Too
We understand that as a parent, the transition your college student is making comes with a unique set of challenges.
College is a time of self-exploration and growth, whether they're navigating the academic pressures or the social intricacies of roommates, friendships, and relationships. The role of the parent shifts from parenting above to parenting alongside. This phase can bring many changes and challenges; your student might need extra support.
Our mission is to provide comprehensive care tailored to your student's unique needs and see them through this transformative journey. Unlike other practices, we allow you to be a part of your college student’s growth process and provide resources specifically for parents.
So How Does This Work?
Will Insurance Cover This?
Unfortunately, the US healthcare system isn't always very student-friendly, and it can be challenging for your college students to access the help they need, especially when it comes to mental health. That's why, like many private psychiatry practices, The College Psychiatrist doesn't work directly with insurance.
Our practice recognizes the importance of family support, so we're happy to schedule a call with you as parents to discuss how we can help your students access the care they need.

While our practice is focused on caring for the student, we do provide resources for parents of college-aged students as well, including GROUPS, PARENTS SALONS (watch on YouTube for free!), and even simple GIFTING opportunities for times when your student needs a little boost.
